Job Opportunity with Nautilus Labs Inc. (New York, NY)

Nautilus is revolutionizing global maritime operations. This is a critical, often forgotten step in preserving/reversing effects of worldwide pollution moving forward.

Elemental to our revenue team is a belief that every key decision we make should be based on the best available data, and that by automating as many of our processes as possible, we will make the experience of working with us and for us better every day.

To that end, we are seeking an individual to lead our efforts around revenue analysis, operations, and automation. This means being a rockstar individual contributor, who will work tirelessly to ensure that our revenue engine scales seamlessly while providing granular visibility and accountability to the rest of the organization. Long-term, this means having the passion and desire to help us build a best-in-class technology stack, which prioritizes a delightful experience for all our key internal and external users and stakeholders.

Specifically, the role will focus on all of the essential elements of reporting, analysis, and strategy, working closely with the Head of Sales. Initial focus areas will be important considerations around long-term CRM alignment, key systems of engagement for the core revenue functions, and helping to optimize our approach to human capital. Specifically, you will focus on:

Analysis and Reporting

  • Ensure we have detailed and accurate visibility into current funnel metrics 
  • Help to establish, track, and improve core KPIs for the team 
  • Drive team compliance with our systems and reporting 
  • Partner with our Finance team to track and verify commissions and billing 
  • Research and report on our industry and the global shipping markets

Systems and Automation

  • Own our CRM instance and ensure it’s aligned with our long-term business needs 
  • Constantly identify new opportunities for us to improve our data assets and automate additional components of our workflow 
  • Research and propose new tools to improve our internal and external processes 
  • Ensure that our approach to systems is optimized for a globally distributed team 
  • Act as a primary POC for vendors or other 3rd parties who support our work

People and Operations

  • Partner with our Integrations team to ensure smooth client engagement and support 
  • Support the recruitment, vetting, and hiring process for prospective revenue team members 
  • Establish a structured process to rapidly onboard new team members 
  • Optimize for knowledge-sharing and team support in a globally distributed team environment 
  • Define, track, and continually assess best practices for the team to ensure they’re disseminated to and leveraged across the organization



  • 2+ years of experience in Operations, Finance, Strategy, Consulting or as an Analyst. 
  • Deep belief and understanding of data-driven sales and quantitative marketing methodologies
  • Interested in and adept at rapidly learning about a new industry
  • Strong quantitative abilities with a love for data and hands-on analysis
  • Desire to work cross-culturally with diverse teams across disparate geographies
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to scale our revenue engine as a business-within-a-business
  • Results-driven strategic thinker who is able to thrive in an unstructured and fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about our mission and in changing the way a massive industry works
  • Personable, collaborative, thoughtful, empathetic, tenacious, with a good sense of humor


  • Strong acumen for building and improving both externally-facing and internal processes
  • B.S. in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or another highly quantitative field
  • Prior experience (2+ years) working at early-stage or growth-stage startups
  • Prior experience (2+ years) in SaaS and selling analytics tools
  • Prior experience (2+ years) working in the maritime industry with ship owner-operating companies
